Exciting First Month for New Viburnum School Superintendent

(Viburnum) Last year’s high school principal in Viburnum is now the superintendent at the Iron County C-4 District.

Adam Portell took over July 1st for the retiring Kent Sherrow.

Portell is thrilled with his new position.

Portell has been busy during his first month leading the Viburnum schools.

He says they just finished up two big projects as a new school year is less than a month away from starting up.

Open house for Viburnum students and parents is Thursday evening, August 19th from 5 until 7 for elementary students.

The junior high and high school’s open house is the same evening from 6 until 8.

Viburnum students first day of classes for the new school year is Tuesday, August 24th.
