(Sikeston, Mo.) In a thrilling girls basketball game tonight on AM 800 KREI, the Farmington Knights defeated the Sikeston Bulldogs on the road by a final score of 63-54.

After falling behind early, the Knights rallied in the second quarter and outscored Sikeston by 10 in the frame. Anna McKinney put the finishing touch on a strong first half for Farmington.

The Knights went into the break holding that lead, 37-33. It was a back-and-forth second half but ultimately Farmington was able to pull away late thanks to Applebees of Farmington Player of the Game Skylar Sweeney.

Farmington head coach Rusty Sancegraw says every player who saw the floor contributed to the win.

With the win Farmington improves to 4-2 on the season while Sikeston falls to 1-3. The Knights have some time off before their next game as they will square off with Parkway West in the Rockwood Summit Tournament on Thursday December 26th at 2:30.
