Farmington Softball Sophomore Elly Robbins Is The Applebee’s Of Farmington Athlete Of The Week

(St. Francois County) Farmington softball sophomore Elly Robbins is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

The 6th ranked Knights played six games last week and won five of those games with the only loss coming against the 5th ranked Hillsboro Hawks, 5-4, at the SEMO Showcase.

Robbins did a little bit of everything for her team. At the plate, she had a .652 batting average on 15 hits including six doubles, three triples, two home runs and 20 RBIs. She slugged 1.435. Robbins also stole five bags on the base path.

In the circle, she went 2-1 while giving up five unearned runs in the loss to Hillsboro.

Farmington head coach Bryan Wallen says the sophomore has been tearing it up all season.

As Athlete of the Week, Robbins will receive a t-shirt, a certificate and a free entrée at Applebee’s in Farmington.
