(Farmington) A Farmington elementary school teacher is juggling her classroom duties while caring for a child with a heart defect.

And the Washington-Franklin Elementary teacher has incorporated her real-life experience into a class project for Heart Awareness Month which is going on now.
30-thousand children are diagnosed annually with a cognitive heart defect.
