Festus 253 Beats Oak Grove 9-2 at State Legion Tournament

(SEDALIA) Festus Post #253 will play the winner of Monday’s late Sedalia/Washington game, Tuesday, 4pm at the Missouri American Legion State Baseball Tournament in Sedalia. On Monday, Festus 253 had a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning against Oak Grove when Post 253 erupted for six runs and went on to win 9-2. Festus High School product Ian Brown started on the mound for 253 and was able to get the win according to Festus manager Zac Bone.
Bone says several Festus batters came through in the fifth inning.
According to Bone, Nate Moore will be his starting pitcher Tuesday.
Festus improved their record to 26-10.
