Festus 253 Falls To Jefferson City In State Tournament

(Sedalia) The season for Festus Post 253 came to an end Wednesday after falling in the losers bracket of the American Legion State Tournament to Jefferson City Post 5 5-4. Festus and Jeff City went back and forth and remained tied until the bottom of the fifth inning when Jeff City managed to tack on an additional run. In the seventh inning, Festus got a runner on base, but couldn’t bring him around. Post 253 finishes their season with a record of 17-17.
