Festus flys high in third quarter to finish off Fox in boys’ hoops

(Arnold) The Festus Tigers used a huge third quarter to pull away for a convincing 80-51 win over the Fox Warriors Friday night on KJFF.

The Tigers rode a big first half from senior wing Cole Rickermann at the start.

Rickermann scored 18 of his game-high 24 points before halftime.

But it was when everybody got involved in the third period that Festus pulled away.

The Tigers outscored the Warriors 28-10 in just the third quarter on their way to their eighth straight win.

While Festus improves to 19-4, Fox loses its ninth straight to drop to 3-16.
