Festus Is About To Hire A Contractor To Fix An Ongoing Water Problem

(FESTUS) The City of Festus is in the process of taking the next steps to fix an ongoing water issue in a certain region of town. Areas in and around Edgewood Lane have been dealing with discolored and rusty water for several months and all means of fixing the problem have failed. Replacing the existing water main in that area is now the obvious decision. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says they plan on hiring a contractor very soon as the bids went out last week.

The work to replace the water mains near Edgewood could begin before the end of May.
