Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis announces his plans for retirement

(Festus) Coming up on 40-years in law enforcement, Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis announced his retirement set for next year.

Chief Lewis has been with the Festus Police Department since May 28th, 1982.

We asked Chief Lewis about his decision to retire and plans going forward.

Chief Lewis wanted to give the police department and city council as much time as possible to prepare for his retirement.

Chief Lewis’ retirement will become effective on May 1st, 2023.
