Festus Puts New Police Cars in Service

(FESTUS) Festus Police Chief Doug Wendel says things are progressing well with the department’s new police cars. Wendel says the public should see two new squad cars on the road now.
According to Wendel, equipment is being installed in several cars this week.
Wendel says the public seems to like the new colors.
In other Festus Police Department news, Chief Wendel says new service sidearms for officers have been delivered and officers have been on the shooting range for training. The new weapon is a Glock Model 45, 9 millimeter with an optic sight, a red dot sight built into the gun.
