Fire Prevention Week is Coming up in early October

(Jefferson County) October 3rd through the 9th is designated as Fire Prevention Week and firefighters are looking forward to getting back in schools this year teaching fair safety.

Hillsboro Fire District Chief Brian Gaudet says this year’s theme is “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!”.

Chief Gaudet says it’s important to no only have smoke detectors, but carbon monoxide detectors as well.
