Fire Prevention Week Takes Place October 4-10

(Jefferson County) October 4 through the 10 marks Fire Prevention Week and firefighters are working out ways on delivering their message to school children amidst the pandemic.

Hillsboro Fire District Chief Brian Gaudet says this year’s theme is “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen!”.

Chief Gaudet adds this year’s Fire Prevention Week is going to look a little different than in years past.

Firefighter, Stephanie Jackson, who oversees Hillsboro’s Fire Prevention program has been posting several fire safety educational videos on the department’s social media accounts.
