Firefighters battle third alarm fire near Antonia

(Jefferson County) Several fire agencies were called in to assist with a third alarm structure fire on East Romaine Creek Road in the Antonia area.

Chris Harris is the Assistant Chief of the Saline Valley Fire Protection District. He says the call came in shortly before 11 last Tuesday morning.

At the height of the blaze there were 28 fire apparatuses on scene and firefighters were able to get the fire under control within an hour-and-a-half after units first arrived. No injuries were reported on scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office.
