First case of Monkeypox reported in Jefferson County

Jefferson County Health Department (JCHD) is reporting the county’s first confirmed case of Monkeypox.

JCHD Public Information Officer Brianne Zwiener has more details.

Zwiener explains what Monkeypox is and some of the symptoms.

Any further cases will be reported on the health department’s monthly Communicable Disease (CD) report.
