(IRONTON, Mo.) – High school boys basketball returns to Regional Radio on Monday evening as the 93rd Annual Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament begins on the MyMoInfo SportStream.

The first round starts with the top-seeded South Iron Panthers taking on the eighth-seeded Bismarck Indians.

The Panthers won this tournament and their district last year, finishing with a 23-5 record and a ranking of 9th in the state of Missouri.

South Iron returns many of the key players from a year ago, and head coach Dusty Dinkins addresses the key to even more improvement this season.

Meahwile, Bismarck is lead by head coach Colin Eaton.

The Indians went 3-19 last year and fell in this same matchup last season.

Our second game of the night will be another first round affair, this time between the second-seeded Lesterville Bearcats and the seventh-seeded West County Bulldogs.

The Bearcats fell in the district finals to South Iron last year, but still had a great season, posting a 21-7 record.

Head coach Anthony Caruso is excited to lead this bunch.

As far as their opponent, West County concluded last year with a 12-12 record.

The Bulldogs won the consolation side of this bracket in 2018.

Head coach Chris LaBruyere talks about his team’s goals for the AV Tournament this year.

In our final game of the night, the host and 6-seed Arcadia Valley Tigers will face off against the third-seeded Fredericktown Blackcats.

AV went 12-16 last year but defeated West County in the first round of districts and narrowly lost to a quality St. Pius team in the district semis.

Tigers head coach Ricky Turnbough is optimistic that this team can tie up some loose ends.

This same first round matchup happened last year as the 4 versus 5 game.

For Fredericktown, it was a 67-63 victory over AV en route to a 11-14 record.

Blackcats head coach Joaby Sikes says the Thanksgiving Tournament is special.

There will be one other first round matchup played Tuesday at 6 on Regional Radio between fourth-seeded Ellington and fifth-seeded Clearwater.

As far as Monday though, you can tune into action on the MyMoInfo SportStream starting at 4:45 with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show.

Tipoff at 5.
