First State Community Christmas Tournament Underway

For the fifth consecutive year, the First State Community Bank Christmas Tournament in West County brings with it a competitive spirit, as well as 12 high school girls basketball teams looking to end the year with a tournament championship.

Among the dozen teams included are the one seed in the Hillsboro Hawks, looking to end 2023 with the most wins among all MSHSAA schools.

They, along with the two seed Cuba Wildcats, the three seed Jefferson Blue Jays, and the four seed Valle Catholic Lady Warriors, will all receive first round byes, with their first games taking place in the quarterfinals, which will start on December 28.

First round games begin on December 27, with the tournament itself lasting from then until the championships taking place on December 30.
