(MEMPHIS, Tenn.) – After many stops along the way, Kenzie Jones has finally reached the end of her basketball playing career. The former Central Rebel and Mineral Area College Cardinal wrapped up her senior season at Christian Brothers University in Memphis averaging 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists while starting all 25 games for the Buccaneers. Jones said when her final season was nearing its end, she was prepared for it.

Even though the team as a whole had its struggles over the last three seasons, Jones said she knows she picked the right place to play and study.

Out of all of the memories she’s made on the basketball court over the years, the clear favorite for Jones happened at Central.

With a college degree in hand, Jones is now living in Denver, Colorado. She said it’s given her a chance to reunite with her former teammate and longtime friend Megan Skaggs, who is working a summer internship there before starting her senior year playing for Central Missouri.

Jones earned a degree in psychology with a minor in sociology at Christian Brothers. She plans to go to grad school to study speech pathology.
