Fox girls’ hoops positioned to make big leap

(Arnold) The Fox Warriors are poised to flip the script in girls’ basketball this year.

Fox finished 11-14 last season but returns most of its roster, including leading scorer and rebounder Minea Dervisevic.

Warriors head coach Matt Weber says his star forward is growing into the voice of the program.

Sophomore Aubrey Andrews and junior Veronica Reisner are also back and set to take on bigger roles this year with early injuries to seniors Amelia and Olivia Chapman.

But Weber says once this team finds its footing, the sky’s the limit.

Fox started its season with a loss to North County.
