Fox mourns loss of former football star

(Arnold, Mo.) A former Fox Warrior football star has died.

Offensive and defensive lineman Chase Waters, a graduate of the Class of 2019, passed away Sunday at the age of 19.

Waters was a force in the trenches during his 4 years in Arnold.

He shined on the defensive line in his senior season by piling up 67 total tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.

Waters was later named to the 2018 Regional Radio Football Dream Team.

Waters committed to Quincy University in Illinois and had wrapped up his freshman season this fall.

The team is holding a vigil at the football stadium at 8 p.m. Thursday to honor Waters.

Cole Elwood has set up a memorial donation for his former teammate to help the family with funeral expenses.
