(BONNE TERRE. Mo.) – Two area girls soccer teams will square off in an early-season matchup Monday afternoon as the Fredericktown Blackcats visit the North County Raiders. Both programs are heading in the right direction after they both put together their first-ever winning season in 2018. After going 12-8 last year, Fredericktown coach Daniel McFadden said he hopes they can take advantage of the low roster turnover.

North County finished 12-11 last season and has already played its first game of the year, a 7-0 win against Valley Park on Friday. Raiders coach Bill Farr said his team has shown a lot of effort in preparation for this season.

Fredericktown and North County will kick off at 5 p.m. Monday afternoon at North County High School. The Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show will begin at 4:45 p.m. on AM-800 KREI.
