Fredericktown Softball Preview

(Fredericktown)- The Fredericktown Blackcats softball team started hot in a lot of games last year, but they could not always finish the job. Head coach Miriah Allgier hopes that the team can use last year’s adversity as a building block for this season.

The Blackcats will lean on their four seniors this season, but having a small class creates room for leaders to step up to the plate.

Fredericktown’s team consists of only 16 girls this year. All of them will be expected to contribute.

Despite the smaller turnout, the Blackcats are am age-diverse group defined by their versatility.

Coach Allgier ad Fredricktown’s motto last season was, “look good, feel good, play good.” She is confident that her team can do that, but still wants the girls to leave everything they have on the diamond.

Fredericktown opens its season at the Chaffee Tournament on Saturday, August 26.
