Fredericktown’s Reutzel on Applebees of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Fredericktown) Fredericktown sophomore P.J. Reutzel is our Applebees of Farmington Athlete of the Week. She helped the Blackcats basketball team snap a six game losing streak to start the Central Christmas tournament and then led Fredericktown to a second round upset of the 4th ranked Central Rebels in the semifinals. Reutzel hit a game winning three with seconds left to beat Central. We asked her about the play…

P.J. averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists to help Fredericktown finish as the runner up. She says she always tries to impact the game in a positive way…

Reutzel does much of the ball handling duties for the Blackcats, but she can also post up. She enjoys trying to find a mismatch…

She says her goal is just to help her team perform its best…

We asked her what it’s like to play for her father, Micah, who is her head coach…

As our Applebees of Farmington Athlete of the Week Reutzel gets a t-shirt, a certificate and a coupon good for an entree at Applebees in Farmington. The Blackcats next game is next Thursday at Farmington. We’ll broadcast that game on AM 800 KREI.
