Gannon praises Jason Cordes at interim Jefferson County Counselor

(Hillsboro) When Carl “Wes” Yates was appointed to serve as an Associate Judge in the 23rd Judicial Circuit, it certainly left a big vacancy in the Jefferson County Counselor’s Office. Yates has been the County Counselor for a few years and leaves that post for the courtroom. Jefferson County Executive Dennis Gannon says the office will be in good shape with Deputy Counselor Jason Cordes serving as the acting county counselor for the time being.

Jefferson County government will search for a new County Counselor and hope to have it filled in the next few months.
