Gannon selected as Chair for East-West Gateway

(Hillsboro) Jefferson County Executive Dennis Gannon has been selected as the Chair of the East-West Gateway Council of Governments Board of Directors for the next year. Gannon has been serving on the board since he was first elected as the Executive Director in 2018. He says it means a great deal to him to serve in this capacity.

The East-West Gateway serves the St. Louis metro area and works together with local plans for transportation, environmental quality, housing, emergency preparedness, and access to employment. The group of 29 members includes members of MODOT, IDOT, and other transportation entities, and also includes officials from St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties…as well as three counties in Illinois. Gannon will serve as the Chair for the remainder of 2022 and part of 2023.
