(CUBA) The Central Lady Rebels won 66-36 Monday night against the West County Bulldogs in the Class 3 District 3 girls semifinals on J-98. The Lady Rebels showed their aggressiveness on both ends of the floor.

Central’s Skyler Amonette led her team with 22 points.

 
Rebels’ head coach Josh Mapes said it was a good team effort.

 
In the other semifinal, the Steelville Cardinals topped the Grandview Eagles with a 47-41 win. The Cardinals at one point held a seven-point advantage, but the Eagles kept it close.

The neck-and-neck match went down to the wire as Grandview tied the game in the fourth quarter to make it 41-all with two minutes to go.

 
Steelville found a way to take the lead once again, never looking back.

With the win, Steelville plays Central in a 2017 Class 3 District 3 championship rematch. Game time is set for Thursday at 6 p.m. with pregame starting at 5:45 p.m. on J-98.
