Greenville and Kingston Win Boys Class 3 District 3 Semifinal Games at West County
(LEADWOOD)    The Missouri Boys Class 3, District 3 basketball championship game Saturday night at West County High School will feature the Greenville Bears against the Kingston Cougars. In the semifinal games heard Thursday night on KREI 800AM and mymoinfo.com, the Bears won their game against Arcadia Valley 84-58.  The Cougars won their semifinal game, 67-49 against West County.
Greenville was led in scoring by Easton Evans who scored 22 while teammates Trey Porter and Cooper Sturgeon each added 18 points.  Greenville advances to the title game with a record of 17-6.
Arcadia Valley was led in scoring by Gavin Douglas with 20 points. Arcadia Valley ended its season with a record of 11-14.
In the second game of the evening, Kingston held a 14-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and they didn’t look back.  The lead was expanded to 33-19 at halftime. Kingston was led in scoring by  Cody Yates who scored 25 points and Ayden Piel added 22 more.  With their win, Kingston improved to 17-9.
West County was led in scoring by Levi Hale who scored 13 points.  West County ends their season with a record of 16-12.
West County head coach Chris LaBruyere said his team gave a great effort and he is proud of them for that.

Kingston head coach Paul Hamilton said the Cougar’s defense pushed them to the win.

As for Saturday’s district championship game, Hamilton admits Greenville presents a tough challenge.
