Hearing Aids Now Available Over The Counter

(Farmington) People who need hearing aids can now get them over the counter. They became available this month. Doctor Karen Melton is an audiologist and one of the owners of Hearing Care Partners in Farmington. She says this is great news.

But she says there are some things you should know about over the counter hearing aids.

Some experts predict this move could make these devices more accessible and affordable. A prescription is no longer needed, nor is a visit to a doctor or even a fitting appointment with a hearing specialist.
