Herculaneum Athletic Director Jon Roop to Become DeSoto AD in the Summer

(HERCULANEUM) Herculaneum Athletic Director Jonathon Roop is returning home to DeSoto. Roop accepted the AD position at DeSoto High School back in November and will officially begin working there on July 1st.

Roop says working closer to where he lives is a great bonus.

Roop lets it be known that he wasn’t actively looking for a new job and indicates that he has loved every bit of his experience as Herky AD.

Roop can’t stress enough just how great the Herculaneum community is and how lucky he’s been to be a part of it. The search for Jonathon Roop’s replacement as Herculaneum Athletic Director and Assistant High School Principal is ongoing.

The deadline to submit an application is Tuesday, February 4th with the Dunklin R-5 School Board making a decision by Tuesday, February 18th at its Board of Education meeting.
