(HERCULANEUM) The faces of the 2019 Herculaneum baseball team that are ready to lead the Blackcats to a district championship are dual-threat infielder-pitcher Jordan Duncan and utilityman Jason Harden, for a start. Duncan finished tops on the team last season in 6 of the major hitting categories.

Coach Zac Bone says that he has something special in Duncan.

Harden is another talent that coach Bone only has good things to say about.

Coach Bone even likes the pitching depth.

The 2019 Blackcats baseball season will begin Friday with a pool-style tournament at Herky High School. The teams involved in Pool A will be Jefferson, West County, and Metro and Pool B will have Herky, Greenville, and Priory. The winners of each pool, plus the 2nd and 3rd-place finishers of each, will then play Saturday at Jefferson R-7 High School.
