Hillsboro Fire Protection District Remains Busy this Summer

(Hillsboro) The Hillsboro Fire Protection District has remained quite busy over the summer months responding to various calls for service throughout the region.

Hillsboro Fire Protection District Chief Brian Gaudet says crews recently responded to a rescue call in the Victoria Glades Conservation area outside of Hillsboro.

That’s not the only call fire crews have received to help someone who hikes the 2.2 mile trail.

Outside of those outdoor summer time calls, Hillsboro fire has been busy responding to multiple accidents on a daily basis.

According to Chief Gaudet they have received almost 800 calls for service this year, which is up more than 160 calls from this time last year.
