Hillsboro hammers out big offensive day vs Jefferson on KJFF

(Hillsboro) The Hillsboro Hawks proved that they are one of Jefferson County’s best softball teams as they rolled to a 20-0 win over the Jefferson Blue Jays Monday on KJFF.

The Hawks only needed 3 innings to get the victory, racing out of the gates with a 12-run first inning.

Sara Stokes stayed hot during Hillsboro’s 8-run second.

Stokes finished with 6 runs batted in and was the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

Hawks head coach Kevin Lucas says it’s great to see the offense playing this well late in the season.

Hillsboro wins its sixth straight to improve to 17-5, while Jefferson falls to 3-15.
