Hillsboro Proposition Police Passes Easily

(HILLSBORO) Hillsboro City Proposition Police on Tuesday’s election ballot passed with flying colors. The issue was asking voters to extend an existing city-wide sales tax which funds much of the police department. Hillsboro Mayor Buddy Russell says informing the voters was the key to getting this accomplished.

Russell says the city would have been in tough shape had it not passed.

Hillsboro City Proposition Police passed 201 to 49, receiving over 80 percent of the vote.
