Hillsboro Shuts Out DeSoto In Homecoming Game

The Hillsboro Hawks improve to 6-1 after a 47-0 blowout over DeSoto tonight. It was a dominating game for the 10th ranked team in District 4, as they played a complete game in all three phases. They were clicking offensively.

On special teams.

And on defense.

In the second half, the Hawks scored 4 straight touchdowns on 4 straight drives. Capped off with a huge play from Austin Romaine.

Many players had great games, but Griffin Ray had one of his best, throwing for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns and also running for another score. While there were many offensive highlights for Hillsboro, Head Coach Bill Sucharski says that his guys buying in defensively wins football games.

Hillsboro improves to 6-1 and is leading the pack in Class 4 Division 1. They will travel to St. Francis Borgia next Friday. DeSoto falls to 0-7 and will face Ste. Genevieve.
