Hillsboro Softball Begins Journey Back to State with Sectional Game vs Cape Notre Dame on Wednesday

(HILLSBORO) The Hillsboro softball Hawks repeated as district champions of Class 3 District 2 with a 4-0 win over the Windsor Owls on Friday.
Elly Eckrich was a superstar in the circle with a complete game where she only gave up 2 hits and wound up striking out 9 batters. Head Coach Kevin Lucas thought that it was one of Elly’s best performances this year.
The Cape Notre Dame Bulldogs now await the Hawks in the Class 3 Sectional Round on Wednesday in Cape Girardeau.
Hillsboro is 20-6 and the Bulldogs are 26-5. First pitch of the Class 3 Sectional round between the two is Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. Pregame coverage will begin at 4:15 on AM 1400 KJFF.
