Hillsboro’s Chase Sucharski is Applebee’s Athlete of the Week

(HILLSBORO) This week’s Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week is Chase Sucharski form Hillsboro High School. The senior wide receiver caught two passes for 73 yards in the Hawks’ 21-point comeback win over Festus in the Class Four District championship Friday night. Hillsboro won 29-28. Sucharski’s fourth down pass reception in the fourth quarter with the Hawks trailing 28-21 kept the Hawk’s scoring drive alive, setting up an eventual TD and a two point conversion to win the game. Sucharski says Hawk’s assistant coach Bobby Anderson asked him if he could get open.

Sucharski also recorded four tackles and an interception at the end of the game to stop Festus on their potential game winning drive. Sucharski says despite his success as a wide receiver, he really enjoys playing defense the most.

For being Athlete of the Week, Chase Sucharski will receive a t-shirt, certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
