House fire on Warne Street in Festus

(Festus) The Festus Fire Department responded to a 1st alarm fire Monday morning. Travis Wood is the Training and Public Information Officer for Festus. He says the call came in a little after 8:30 in the morning.
Mapaville Fire Protection District was called up to cover the firehouse while Festus was on the scene. One woman was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with minor smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental and is not considered suspicious.
