Illinois Man Dead in Crawford County Accident

(Crawford County) A 27-year-old man from Aledo, Illinois died yesterday in Crawford County. The Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at Bass River Resort when a 2015 Ford F150 driven by Joshua Bowen was negotiating a curve and struck a bump. This caused the passenger, Matthew Hedrick, who was sitting on the tailgate, to fall off and strike the ground. Hedrick was pronounced dead at Mercy Creve Coeur.
