Iron County Murder Arrest

(Middlebrook) The Mineral Area Major Case Squad was activated this past Friday at the request of Iron County Chief Deputy Sheriff Chuck Helton concerning a homicide investigation in Middlebrook.

The incident happened on Thursday night at a home on Wild Turkey Road involving the death of a 65 year old man.

An arrest warrant was issued on Friday for 58 David Wayne Sharp of Middlebrook, who is the brother of the victim.

He was taken into custody late Friday night at a hotel in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Mineral Area Major Case Squad was assisted by the Kentucky State Police and the Louisville Metro Police Department.
