It’s Almost Time For Old Miners Days in Viburnum

(Viburnum) It’s getting closer to another Old miners Days celebration in Viburnum.

Marty Maize is one of the festival organizers.

He says the fun begins Friday evening, October 6th at 6 o’clock at the Elmer P. Beard Gymnasium.

Maize also tells us about two classic Old Miners Days attractions on Saturday the 7th.

But that’s not all happening that Saturday in Viburnum.

For food and drink at Old Miners Days in Viburnum, several food trucks will be on hand.

To finish off the festival, the Chicago Boyz, who were featured on America’s Got Talent, will put on a show Saturday night the 7th at 6 in the high school gym.

Following that, a fireworks display will take place at the Viburnum airstrip.

This is the fireworks display that was postponed on the 4th of July because of the dry conditions.
