Jeff Roorda announces he will run for state senate

(Jefferson County) County resident Jeff Roorda announced his candidacy for state Senate right here on 1400 KJFF yesterday.

He was a Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives, serving from 2005 to 2010 and again from 2013 to 2015.

Roorda ran for the Missouri Senate in District 22 in 2014, but he was defeated by Paul Wieland, a Republican from Imperial. Jeff has changed parties and will run as a Republican…

Roorda is a former Police officer and Head of The Police Union, he will run for the Senate seat being vacated by Paul Weiland due to term limits.
