Jeffco 911 Dispatch celebrates special week

(High Ridge) This is National Telecommunicator Week, and Jeffco 911 Dispatch is being recognized and honored for the work they do. Jeffco 911 Dispatch Chief Travis Williams says it’s been a fun time so far.

Chief Williams says they continue to hire to fill open positions, and their dispatchers work 12-hour shifts that fluctuate each week.

Williams says they try to train their dispatchers for all types of calls.

Jeffco 911 Dispatch handled all calls for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and nearly all ambulance and fire districts as well as some of the local police departments.
