Jeffco Shop With a Cop ready to help 550 kids

(Jefferson County) The two shopping days for the children selected to participate in Jeffco Shop with a Cop will take place this week. The kids along with the 1st Responders will be at the DeSoto Walmart tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, and at the Twin City Walmart on Thursday morning. Captain Lewis Pippen with the Festus Police Department is the Vice-President of Jeffco Shop with a Cop. He says the day starts with busing the kids from their schools to the Walmarts.

Pippen says the kids will then meet with Santa Claus.

Pippen says after that, the shopping and fun begins.

The Festus McDonalds will also supply the kids with food. Each of the 550 children will receive a $150 gift card to spend on whatever they would like to purchase. Again, the shopping days will be at the DeSoto Walmart tomorrow (Tuesday) morning and the Twin City Walmart on Thursday morning. Jeffco Shop with a Cop serves all 11 public school districts in Jefferson County.
