Jefferson County Council Approves A Builder For Sheriff's Office Crime Lab

(HILLSBORO, PEVELY) The Jefferson County Council has decided on a builder for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s crime lab. The council voted 6-0 to approve the bid from K & S Associates to construct the lab alongside the current sheriff’s office evidence storage facility in Pevely. Jefferson County Executive Dennis Gannon says K & S has a good reputation.

Gannon says the crime lab will be connected to the evidence storage building and utilizing the existing space.

The bid from K & S Associates, approved by the council, was $6.1 million. Construction on the new building should begin this spring and take a little over a year to complete.
