Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Close To Naming A Builder For The Crime Lab

(HILLSBORO) The decision to name a contractor and builder to be construction of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office crime lab is close to being named. Sheriff Dave Marshak says he and others reviewed the bid proposals this week.

Sheriff Marshak says it’s an exciting time to get the project moving along.

Sheriff Marshak says there are many investigations on hold due to the backup of evidence that is awaiting lab results at the state level.

Once the contractor has been named, ground could be broken next month with the construction expected to take a little more than a year to complete.
