Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office keeps busy

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues to change some policies and procedures as well as providing new services when helping with the containment of Covid-19. Sheriff Dave Marshak says they are helping more and more with different everyday entities.
As far as Personal Protection Equipment is concerned, Sheriff Marshak says there currently not enough for all that need them.
The number of inmates at the Jefferson County Jail have diminished significantly over the past week. As of Wednesday morning, the number of inmates was less than 170. However, normal calls for service continue to come into the Sheriff’s Office.
