Jefferson County Water Authority celebrating their new collector well

(Festus, Herculaneum) The Jefferson County Water Authority will hold a ceremony celebrating the opening of its new collector well next week. The Jefferson County Water Authority supplies water for the cities of Festus and Herculaneum. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp is the Chair of the JCWA. He says the ceremony will be held on the site of the collector well at the Cathy Jokerst Water Treatment Plant on Crystal Heights in Festus.

Camp says the well will allow for much more water for the cities.

Camp says this new well also gives both Festus and Herculaneum the ability to handle future growth.

The ceremony will be held on Monday morning, November 6th at 10. Festus Mayor Sam Richards, Herculaneum Mayor Ryan Wright, and Camp will give brief remarks about the benefits of the new well. Also, members of the design-build team at Burns and McDonnell will be there as well.
