Jefferson R-7’s Anna Heacock Signs with the Shockers

(Festus) Jefferson R-7’s own Anna Heacock is ready to “shock” the nation after signing her letter of intent to continue her track and field career at Witchita State.

Known for the 100 and 300-meter events, Anna says that it wasn’t just the track and field team that led her to Witchita State.

 
As for her upcoming senior season, Anna expresses high hopes and confidence after steadily improving from 5th in the 300 and 4th in the 100 as a freshman to now 1st in both events as a junior.

 
Off of the track, Anna’s activities include running on the Cross CountryTeam, Student Council, Robotics Club, being Senior Class Treasurer, as well as performing in the jazz and concert band.
