Kasten Reflects On His Time As Herculaneum City Administrator

(HERCULANEUM) Jim Kasten’s time as the Herculaneum City Administrator is coming to an end, as his retirement will become official before the end of the month. Kasten says it will be an adjustment for sure.

Kasten believes he steps out the door leaving the city in good shape.

Kasten says a lot of good things have taken place while he was the administrator.

Kasten says while the Herculaneum Mississippi River port has been a slow process for development, rezoning the property has been taken care of to help place things in order when the time comes.

As far as Kasten’s replacement…the Herculaneum Board of Alderman was split 3-3 on their vote to hire a new city administrator. However, another vote is expected at the board meeting on Monday night, and the new administrator could be decided on at that time.
