Central’s Kory Schweiss is Dream Team Football Coach of the Year

Kory Schweiss, the head coach of the Central Rebels football team, is this year’s Dream Team football coach of the year. He led the Rebels to an 11-3 record and the program’s first state championship. The team faced injuries and a losing streak in he middle of the season, but Schweiss saw it as a lesson to develop his players as people.

In many ways, the struggles of a football season have parallels to the real world. Schweiss tells us why it’s important to use sports as a platform to teach the players about life.

The Rebels will lose many key players to graduation going into next season, and will look to continue the recent success with a lot of new faces.
