Luke Strege Leaves MAC for NDSU
(Park Hills) After eight successful seasons as the head coach for the Mineral Area College men’s basketball team Luke Strege is leaving to become an assistant at Division One North Dakota State University in Fargo. Strege says it is a perfect fit for his family…

Strege went 199-46. We had some fun asking him why he didn’t win 200…

In 2021 (the COVID year) the Cardinals went undefeated in the regular season, entered the national tournament as the number one seed and secured the first win in program history at the national tournament…

The Cardinals started that game out on fire…

As much as Strege enjoyed the basketball, he enjoyed being a part of the community in other aspects even more…

Prior to coming to MAC Strege coached five seasons as an assistant at Division I Eastern Kentucky from 2010-15. He spent six years at Division II Quincy University in Illinois from 2004-10 and Strege served as a graduate assistant at Georgia and Western Kentucky to start his coaching career.
